Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mac Moore (ranked 5669 p4p, 505 weight class) and Samuel Turbitt (ranked 2136 p4p, 247 weight class). Turbitt has chosen Tell Me Ma as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mac Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Turbitt!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore swings for the body but Turbitt moves out of range.
Moore getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Moore throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moore misses with a wild body shot.
Moore connects with a body shot.
Moore stuffs the takedown attempt from Turbitt. Turbitt gets slowly back to his feet.
Moore keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Moore looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Moore swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Moore lands the left hand.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Turbitt.
Moore scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Turbitt doesn't seem bothered though.
Turbitt fails with a takedown attempt.
Moore throwing a counter right hand but Turbitt manages to avoid it.
Mac Moore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Turbitt.

Turbitt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Turbitt showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moore is defending against the submission attempts here by Turbitt.

Turbitt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moore's head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Moore is not content to let Turbitt control the position.

Turbitt is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Moore tries to roll over but Turbitt keeps him under control.

Moore is trying to maintain the position but Turbitt is very close to passing his half guard.
Turbitt seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Moore gets full guard.
Turbitt throws a big right hand that misses.
Turbitt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Moore keeping moving, preventing Turbitt from controlling successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Moore is looking to wear down Turbitt with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Moore throws a hook to the side of Turbitt's head but Turbitt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Turbitt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Moore connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Turbitt momentarily.
Turbitt checks a leg kick.
Moore throws a good cross that connects.
Moore moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Moore throws a looping overhand right but Turbitt ducks down to avoid it.
Mac Moore is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice sprawl there from Moore as Turbitt shoots in.
It looked like Moore wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Turbitt fails to land the takedown.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moore swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Turbitt fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Moore lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Turbitt fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turbitt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Turbitt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Turbitt showed some decent athleticism there.
Moore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turbitt on the ground.
Moore wants to improve his position but Turbitt is controlling well.
Turbitt missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moore is looking for a sweep. Turbitt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Turbitt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
My spies in Lads Lash Banter Gym inform me that Turbitt has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Moore is on top in guard.

Turbitt looking to control.
Moore wants to control from the top but Turbitt keeps moving.
Samuel Turbitt has got the better of the ground game so far.

Turbitt has his foot on Moore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moore works his way back into a safe position though.

Moore is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Turbitt trying to control but Moore is working from the bottom.
Moore on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moore tries to get out of the position.
Moore looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Turbitt puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Turbitt prevents Moore from improving his position.
Moore wants to control but Turbitt is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Moore jabs at Turbitt's body.
Turbitt moves away from the strike by Moore.
Turbitt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Moore throwing a counter right hand but Turbitt manages to avoid it.
Moore misses with a wild body shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Turbitt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mac Moore is winning the standup battle so far.
Turbitt shoots for a double leg takedown but Moore sprawls well. He's pushed Turbitt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Moore uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Turbitt feints and as Moore raises his hands in defense, Turbitt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Samuel Turbitt will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Moore moves into the clinch.
Moore lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Moore is pushing Turbitt up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Moore avoiding damage.
Turbitt is trying to pull guard but Moore has him pressed against the cage.
Moore is stalling here.

Moore manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore swings for the body but Turbitt moves out of range.
Turbitt wants to counter the offense by Moore and move into the clinch position.
Moore tried to score with a low kick but Turbitt checks it.
Moore fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Turbitt on the side of the head.
Moore misses the shot to the body.
Moore throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Moore misses with an uppercut.
Turbitt looks for a takedown but Moore sprawls well.
Moore looks to score with a jab to the body but Turbitt is just out of range.
Moore throws a jab when Turbitt was well out of range.
Turbitt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Moore.

Turbitt postures up in Moore's guard and throws a big left but Moore blocks it.
Turbitt missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Moore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Moore might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Turbitt trying to control but Moore is working from the bottom.

Turbitt drops back, looking for a kneebar! Moore looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Moore looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Moore!

Moore wants to control but Turbitt is keeping him busy.
Turbitt manages to get back to half guard.
Well, if Moore is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Turbitt moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Turbitt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moore doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moore manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Turbitt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Moore working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Turbitt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Moore is aware though and is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Moore trying to control the position from guard on top but Turbitt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Moore has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Turbitt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Moore avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Turbitt is looking for a triangle but Moore pushes his legs off easily.
