Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Al Haddad (ranked 5837 p4p, 396 weight class) and Janus Galtson (ranked 6236 p4p, 406 weight class). Mohammed Al Haddad has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mohammed Al Haddad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Janus Galtson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galtson dips to his left and cracks Al Haddad with an uppercut! Galtson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Al Haddad fails with an attempt to clinch.
Galtson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Al Haddad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Al Haddad ducks right into an uppercut from Galtson. Galtson works over Al Haddad's head and body with a nice combination. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Galtson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Galtson lands a nice shot that snaps Al Haddad's head back.
Galtson leaves Al Haddad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And Galtson tries to counter it with a takedown but Al Haddad pushes his down on his head and steps out. Al Haddad shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Galtson sprawls well. Galtson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Al Haddad gets slowly back to his feet. Galtson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Al Haddad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Galtson pinned against the cage. Galtson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mohammed Al Haddad. That's going to take a lot out of him. Al Haddad shoots and misses and Galtson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's one minute gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Galtson there. Al Haddad takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Galtson lands with a cross. Al Haddad looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Galtson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Al Haddad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Al Haddad stopping the sweep attempt from Galtson. Al Haddad wants to get up but he can't break Galtson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Galtson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Galtson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Al Haddad is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Galtson controls Al Haddad momentarily but Al Haddad frees himself. Al Haddad drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Al Haddad jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Al Haddad wants to stand but Galtson is controlling his posture from full guard. Galtson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad drops back looking for a leg! Galtson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Galtson manages to kick Al Haddad off! Al Haddad jumps back into Galtson's guard. Galtson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Al Haddad gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Galtson leaves Al Haddad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Al Haddad fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Galtson lands with a good body shot. Janus Galtson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Galtson scores with a one two! Al Haddad had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Al Haddad closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Galtson connects with a body shot. Al Haddad goes for a double leg but Galtson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Galtson continues to drive forward. Al Haddad takes one to the chin there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Galtson lands with a straight right. Al Haddad didn't see that one coming. Al Haddad pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Galtson connects with a crisp jab. Galtson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Al Haddad had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Galtson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Galtson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Al Haddad's head. Galtson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Al Haddad to score an easy takedown into full guard. Galtson looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Al Haddad drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Al Haddad jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Galtson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Al Haddad passes Galtson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Al Haddad is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Galtson is looking to improve his position.
Al Haddad is trying for a kimura here. Galtson looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Al Haddad wins by kimura!
