Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Rogers (ranked 3534 p4p, 401 weight class) and Francis Begbie (ranked 6809 p4p, 563 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Begbie's choice of entrance music: Raining Blood. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buck Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Francis Begbie!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Begbie throws a series of punches but Rogers moves out of range.
Begbie does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Begbie misses with a series of wild punches.
Rogers avoids the body shot from Begbie.
Rogers scores with a jab to the jaw.
Begbie takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Begbie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Rogers lands with an overhand left.
Rogers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rogers throws a hook but Begbie avoids it easily.
Begbie moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rogers, as that shot connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rogers throws a body shot but no joy.
Rogers misses with a looping right.
Begbie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rogers lunges at Begbie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Begbie's hand.
Rogers moves out of range as Begbie strikes.
Rogers swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rogers throws a front kick aimed at Begbie's knee but Begbie avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogers throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Begbie on the side of the head.
Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Begbie.
Begbie takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Begbie cracks Rogers with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rogers looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Begbie finish him?


It looks like Buck Rogers has been cut.
It looks like Rogers has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Rogers scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Begbie on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Begbie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rogers throws out the jab.
Begbie with a poor takedown
and Rogers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Begbie feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rogers sprawling to the canvas! Rogers rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Begbie finish him?!


Rogers is rocked!
Rogers is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Begbie flashes Rogers a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Rogers's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Rogers crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Begbie punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Francis Begbie!
Francis Begbie was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
