Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alfonso Briggs (ranked 7239 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramzan Kadyrov (ranked 6019 p4p, 522 weight class). Ramzan Kadyrov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs doesn't manage to clinch there - Kadyrov circles away.
Briggs closes the distance and pushes Kadyrov back into the cage.
Briggs keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kadyrov's efforts to push away.
Kadyrov wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kadyrov is trying to push Briggs away but Briggs has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kadyrov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Briggs shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Briggs showed some decent athleticism there.

The strikes coming from Briggs are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Kadyrov tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Briggs is landing with some decent strikes but Kadyrov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Briggs tries to close the distance and clinch but Kadyrov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Briggs drives through and clinches with Kadyrov against the cage.
Briggs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Briggs shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Briggs was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Briggs wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kadyrov, who protects the arm well.
Briggs in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Kadyrov wants to get back to his feet but Briggs is dominant here and he's now got Kadyrov's back!
Briggs has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Kadyrov.

Briggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Alfonso Briggs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kadyrov is in a bad position with Briggs working for a choke. Kadyrov manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Briggs has a closed guard, preventing Kadyrov from standing up.

Kadyrov throws an elbow that misses. Briggs uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kadyrov's guard. Nice move by Briggs!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Briggs connects with a nice short shot to Kadyrov's temple.

Briggs is working for a kimura but Kadyrov is defending it quite comfortably.

Briggs is nestled in close to Kadyrov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Briggs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kadyrov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Briggs uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kadyrov.
Kadyrov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Briggs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kadyrov tries to avoid it but Briggs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kadyrov to the ground. Kadyrov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kadyrov lands a big right hand that sends Briggs crashing to the mat! Kadyrov stays standing though and waves Briggs back to his feet!
Briggs is rocked!
Briggs ducks into an uppercut from Kadyrov and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
