Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain comes to the cage accompanied by Don't talk to stranger- Hedley. Matt Cain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Cain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Michaels! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain misses with a series of wild punches.
Michaels closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Michaels lands in his opponent's guard. Michaels looking to pass the guard. Michaels trying to control the position from guard on top but Cain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Michaels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Michaels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Michaels wants to control from the top but Cain keeps moving. Michaels is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain wants to stand but Michaels is controlling the position. Cain keeping moving, preventing Michaels from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cain holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Michaels fails with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cain walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Michaels checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Cain instigates a clinch. Michaels throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Michaels drags the fight down to the ground.
Michaels working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Michaels has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cain should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Michaels has tightened it up now! Cain should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Max Michaels!
