Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Terence West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tucker misses the shot to the body.
Tucker looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from West is defended easily by Tucker.
Tucker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as West is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Tucker misses with a jab, cross combination.

and West decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tucker's guard.

West stands up from guard. Let's bang!
West looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tucker is looking for the big counter here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tucker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches West napping and manages to drive through into side control!

West throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

West fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tucker avoids it really well and circles away.

West gets the takedown into side control.

West decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Tucker is looking to control West's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tucker avoid being mounted?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
West not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Tucker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

West rushes Tucker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

West pulls guard.
Tucker prevents West from getting back to his feet.

West has his feet on Tucker's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Tucker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


West throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tucker's waist but Tucker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing West off to one side.

West unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Tucker drags the fight down to the ground.
West with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

West stands and steps away. Tucker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

West has his takedown stuffed
and Tucker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Tucker wants to stand but West has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
West holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Tucker is trying to control. West wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
West is doing well to control the position and prevent Tucker from advancing to side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
West shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tucker as he jumps to the side.

West bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tucker is trying to control West's posture but West avoids it.
West is working Tucker over with some ground and pound from side control.
Tucker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Terence West overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

West thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tucker is looking for a sweep.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tucker is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but West has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Tucker is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

West decides to stand back up. West steps back and let's Tucker get back to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by West!
West shoots in but Tucker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tucker gets a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jason Tucker will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


West tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tucker defends well and West ends up having to push Tucker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

West's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tucker. West does a little dance to reset his feet.
West feinted with a counter takedown.
Jason Tucker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tucker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from West.
Tucker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Tucker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tucker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

West throws Tucker to one side and escapes!
Terence West is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

West gets caught flat footed, as Tucker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

West pushes Tucker off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tucker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. West manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tucker trying to control but West is working from the bottom.
Tucker wants to get up but he can't break West's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
West is adopting a defensive guard.
Tucker wants to control from the top but West keeps moving.

Tucker controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
West keeping moving, preventing Tucker from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
West fails with a takedown attempt.
West shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tucker defends it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
West shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tucker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Tucker is looking to take a break and control but West is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
West manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Tucker tries to pass to full mount but West defends it.

West kicks Tucker off and gets back to his feet.
West misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tucker unleashes a big counter combination but West bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terence West.
I think West has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
