The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandoval gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
With the fighters up against the cage, Sandoval throws an elbow but misses.

Sandoval has Schwartz pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sandoval pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Schwartz tumbling to the mat - Sandoval dives into Schwartz's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schwartz is trying to keep Sandoval in close.
Schwartz looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sandoval keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Schwartz's head.

Schwartz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sandoval's guard.
Schwartz is working Sandoval over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Schwartz distracts Sandoval with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Schwartz looking to sit in guard and control but Sandoval gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Schwartz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Schwartz lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Sandoval has hold of Schwartz's hands but Schwartz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Schwartz is looking to take a break and control but Sandoval is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Schwartz has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Schwartz avoids the attempt from Sandoval to control.

Schwartz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schwartz cracks Sandoval with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Schwartz lands a big elbow.
Sandoval is rocked!
Schwartz loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Sandoval scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Schwartz land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Schwartz stands and salutes the crowd.
