The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed throws a leg kick but Vance checks it.
Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Reed.
Reed tries a head kick but it misses.
Vance dodges the punch combination from Reed.
Vance looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Reed changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vance looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Vance throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
John Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reed gets a clinch.
Vance really is a fat lump.
Reed misses with a hook to the ribs.
Vance tries to pull guard but Reed won't allow it.
Reed goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Reed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reed throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Reed scores with a takedown into Vance's guard.
Vance working a defensive guard here.
Vance keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.
Vance pulls Reed in close to prevent any damage.

Reed stands up from Vance's guard - Reed perhaps looking for a knockout.
Reed paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reed lands with a nice combination. Vance backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Abdul Vance has been cut.

Reed lands a big head kick that sends Vance tumbling to the mat! Reed takes a step backwards and waves Vance back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Vance is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reed batters Vance with a massive right followed by a huge left! Vance is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Reed lands a final crushing right hand to drop Vance to the mat with a gruesome thud! Reed is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
