Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eliott Leighton (ranked 3220 p4p, 366 weight class) and Dmitry Ovchinnikov (ranked 2023 p4p, 258 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Leighton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bad to the Bone - George Thorogood. Eliott Leighton had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leighton defending well as Ovchinnikov loads up on a big left hand.

Leighton drives through and clinches with Ovchinnikov against the cage.
Leighton throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ovchinnikovs head.

Ovchinnikov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leighton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ovchinnikov tries to work over Leighton's front leg with a kick but Leighton checks it.
Leighton shoots in for a takedown but Ovchinnikov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ovchinnikov. Leighton does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Ovchinnikov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
