Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Gallagher (ranked 1057 p4p, 152 weight class) and Jao Rua (ranked 229 p4p, 35 weight class). Gallagher's entrance music is Drunkin' Lullabies by Flogging Molly. A fine choice. Rua is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tarantula . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jao Rua!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallagher lands a right hook to the body.
Gallagher scores with a jab to the head.
Rua throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gallagher was covering up waiting for the punch and Rua finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rua preventing the sweep.
Rua wants to control from the top but Gallagher keeps moving.
Gallagher pulls Rua in close to his closed guard and prevents Rua from doing any damage or advancing position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gallagher is on top in guard.
Gallagher is fighting to break Rua's control of his arms but Rua is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rua has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gallagher doesn't defend quickly enough and Rua has managed to lock this one up! Can Gallagher escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Rua on a fantastic submission victory.
