The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soup ducks under a wild hook from Clayton.
Soup shoots in for a takedown but Clayton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Clayton tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Clayton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clayton can do anything to dispel that myth.

Soup is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Clayton frees his head nicely. Oh but Soup has switched to an armbar! Clayton is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
