The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington misses with a hook
and Washington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Thizzelle Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Washington. Tomson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Washington misses with a double jab.
Tomson looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Washington dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Washington throws a right and a left that Tomson avoids nicely.
Tomson lands with an uppercut that bounces Washington off the cage and back into range.

and Tomson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Tomson counters with a nice right hand that sends Washington toppling to the canvas! Washington scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Tomson finish him?!

It looks like Thizzelle Washington has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Tomson counters with a straight right hand.
Oh Washington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Washington throws a lazy uppercut
and Tomson rattles Washington with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Washington tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Tomson dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Washington stiff and motionless on the mat!
