Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tazz Ebonx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lando Salmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salmon has chosen The Little Things as his entrance music. Tazz Ebonx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Ebonx. No joy for Salmon on that attempt.
Salmon keeps the fight on the outside.
Ebonx shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fighters circling - Salmon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ebonx throws a one two combo.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salmon.

Salmon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ebonx gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Salmon shoots in looking for a takedown. Ebonx tries to sprawl out of it but Salmon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ebonx manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tazz Ebonx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lando Salmon.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ebonx shoots in looking for a takedown. Salmon tries to sprawl out of it but Ebonx keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Salmon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ebonx bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Salmon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ebonx manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Salmon wants to take a breather but Ebonx is having none of it.

Salmon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Salmon stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Salmon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ebonx is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Salmon off and has taken his back!

Lando Salmon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown by Ebonx or perhaps it was just good defense by Salmon which made him look bad.
Ebonx throws a right hand that Salmon ducks under and follows up with a left that Salmon also avoids with ease.

Ebonx throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salmon's waist but Salmon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ebonx off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
