Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yair Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Diaz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yair Lopez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Diaz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Diaz misses with a wild combination.
Diaz throws a right hand that Lopez ducks under and follows up with a left that Lopez also avoids with ease.
Danga de danga de dang - Diaz scores with a four punch combination!
Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lopez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diaz to the mat! Diaz manages to get full guard.
Lopez won't allow Diaz to get back to his feet.

Lopez stands and steps away. Diaz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lopez is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lopez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
