Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between chuck lidell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Dahlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, chuck lidell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Dahlin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! lidell is looking to clinch but Dahlin is avoiding it.
lidell lands a head shot. chuck lidell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dahlin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dahlin fails with a takedown attempt. Dahlin fails to land the takedown. lidell fails in his attempt to clinch. lidell wants to clinch up but Dahlin keeps it at a distance. A right-left combo lands from lidell. lidell tries to close the distance and clinch but Dahlin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. lidell tries to clinch up. The fighters circle momentarily. lidell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A jab from lidell finds it's way through Dahlin's defenses. Dahlin slips a jab from lidell. lidell misses with a body shot.

Dahlin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dahlin is pulling down on lidell's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dahlin looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dahlin has his hands on lidell's head, controlling the position. lidell throwing strikes but missing. lidell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dahlin keeping moving, preventing lidell from controlling successfully. lidell postures up.
Despite being in the dominant position, Tyler Dahlin just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. lidell misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. lidell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Dahlin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dahlin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with lidell but lidell pushes him off and we're back to square one. lidell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dahlin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dahlin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. lidell is not content to let Dahlin control the position. lidell prevents Dahlin from improving position. Dahlin trying to control the action but lidell is working from the bottom. lidell tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Dahlin is breathing heavily. lidell parries the strikes from Dahlin easily there. Dahlin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable lidell to escape.
lidell is not content to let Dahlin control the position. lidell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if lidell tries to get out of the position. lidell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dahlin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dahlin is trying to control the position but lidell postures up. lidell throwing strikes but missing. Dahlin pulls lidell in close to his closed guard and prevents lidell from doing any damage or advancing position. Dahlin trying to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dahlin throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Tyler Dahlin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
lidell clinches but Dahlin breaks the clinch and Dahlin counters with a series of strikes. lidell will be more careful next time no doubt. lidell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dahlin decides to stand and escape the position. Dahlin moves into the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dahlin prevents lidell from breaking the clinch. Dahlin wants a takedown but no success here.
