Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between renzo Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bone throws a half hearted mid kick. Hughes has a takedown stuffed. Hughes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hughes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hughes passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hughes remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bone is trying to get back to his feet. Hughes controlling from side mount. Bone wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Hughes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bone for as long as he can get away with. Bone wants to get back to his feet but Hughes drags him back down. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hughes controlling from side mount.

Ryan Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hughes scores with a takedown into Bone's guard. Bone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hughes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hughes is stalling in the full guard. Hughes stops Bone from standing up. Hughes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bone is keeping the position for now. Hughes is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bone wants to stand but Hughes is controlling the position. Hughes controlling from the top position. Hughes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hughes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bone's waist but Bone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hughes off to one side.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Hughes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hughes trying to control the position from guard on top but Bone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bone is looking to stand up but Hughes isn't so interested in that idea. Hughes wants to pass the guard but Bone is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nice sprawl there from Bone as Hughes shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for renzo Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him. A jab from Bone finds it's way through Hughes's defenses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that renzo Hughes will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Bone lands a nice looking body kick. Bone looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. renzo Hughes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bone throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Bone lands a left and a right that sends Hughes crashing to the canvas! Bone dives into mount looking to finish!
Hughes is rocked! Hughes is squirming around, avoiding Bone's attempts to control the action. Oh Hughes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bone controlling the position easily from mount. Hughes seems to have got his legs back now. Hughes is trying to escape the mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hughes is looking to escape. Hughes bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Bone wants to sweep here but Hughes controlling him for the moment. Bone wants to stand but Hughes is controlling the position. Hughes slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bone keeping moving, preventing Hughes from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hughes stops Bone from standing up. Hughes is pushing down on Bone's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bone is fighting to maintain full guard but Hughes has managed to sneak the leg through. Bone is looking to control Hughes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bone avoid being mounted? Hughes seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hughes prevents Bone from standing back up.

Bone throws a right hand that Hughes ducks under and follows up with a left that Hughes also avoids with ease. Bone scores with a push kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Hughes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hughes motions for Bone to come forward. Hughes throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bone looks for the body kick but Hughes saw that one coming. Hughes shoots in but no luck this time. Hughes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bone scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Bone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hughes. Hughes shoots for a takedown but Bone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for renzo Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch but Bone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bone looks for the body kick but Hughes saw that one coming. Hughes looks for a takedown but Bone sprawls well. Hughes checks a leg kick. A punch combination from Bone misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Bone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hughes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bone circles away. Bone throws a series of punches but Hughes avoids them all with ease. Ryan Bone seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bone misses with a body kick. Bone avoids a punch combination nicely.

Hughes wants to control the pace but Bone is squirming around nicely. Bone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bone wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to renzo Hughes. I think Hughes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
