Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johny Alcatraz (ranked 4315 p4p, 418 weight class) and Tom Creature (ranked 4975 p4p, 451 weight class). Tom Creature is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Creature!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcatraz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Creature paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Creature listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A left and a right from Creature both land. Nice combination.
Alcatraz is looking to clinch.
Creature gets a clinch.
Creature lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Alcatraz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alcatraz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Creature looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Creature tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alcatraz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Creature dodges the ground and pound from Alcatraz.
Creature is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Alcatraz has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Creature tries to improve position but can't.
Alcatraz postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Creature tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alcatraz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Alcatraz throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Alcatraz wants to control for a moment but Creature uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Creature is looking for a sweep. Alcatraz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Alcatraz is keen to just control but Creature is a slippery customer.
Creature has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Alcatraz escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Alcatraz!
Creature is trying to improve his position.
What's Creature going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Alcatraz trying to control but Creature is working from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Creature throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Alcatraz wants to control from the top but Creature keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Alcatraz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Creature as he avoids it easily.
Creature scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Tom Creature is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Creature clinches with his opponent.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Alcatraz tries to pull guard but Creature forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Alcatraz just leaning against Creature, taking a breather.

Tom Creature dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Creature looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Creature throws a shot to the body.
Creature ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alcatraz moves away.
Johny Alcatraz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Creature looks to score with a jab to the body but Alcatraz is just out of range.
Creature takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Creature missing with a left hand there. Alcatraz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Creature stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Alcatraz.
Horrible takedown attempt by Alcatraz or perhaps it was just good defense by Creature, which made it look bad.
Creature is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creature tries to sprawl but Alcatraz drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Creature pushes Alcatraz off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Creature paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alcatraz is defended easily by Creature.
Creature doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Creature gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Creature has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Alcatraz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Creature pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Tom Creature seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Creature looks to land a combination. Alcatraz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Johny Alcatraz has been cut.
Alcatraz takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Alcatraz gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Creature scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Alcatraz is rocked!
Creature circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Alcatraz to the canvas! Alcatraz doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Creature keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
