Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Schrijber (ranked 2728 p4p, 263 weight class) and Drederick Tatum (ranked 1341 p4p, 156 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Schrijber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drederick Tatum! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatum misses with a hook. Schrijber ducked under it nicely. Schrijber ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Schrijber looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tatum with a hook. Tatum pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Tatum misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tatum misses with a wild body shot. Schrijber will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tatum throws a lazy right hand but Schrijber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Drederick Tatum is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schrijber misses with a takedown attempt and Tatum counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jan Schrijber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schrijber shoots in looking for a takedown. Tatum tries to sprawl out of it but Schrijber keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Tatum manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tatum looks like he wants to counter punch here. Schrijber gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tatum breaks the clinch.
Schrijber gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tatum counters with a straight right hand. Schrijber drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schrijber controls from within his opponent's guard. Schrijber's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tatum looking for a sweep. Not yet Tatum, not yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tatum trying to control the position.

Schrijber avoids the body shot from Tatum.
Schrijber dives in and grabs Tatum's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tatum pushes down on Schrijber's head and hops out. Tatum keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Schrijber shoots for a double leg takedown but Tatum sprawls well. He's pushed Schrijber's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tatum throws out a counter right but Schrijber avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jan Schrijber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tatum throws a body punch but Schrijber moves out of range. Schrijber appears to be looking for a counter takedown. A big right from Tatum misses. Tatum throws a hook to the side of Schrijber's head but Schrijber sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Schrijber feinted with a counter takedown.

A nice side step and Tatum releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Schrijber fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Schrijber misses with a takedown attempt and Schrijber takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tatum throws a jab but it's blocked by Schrijber. Schrijber wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Schrijber shoots and misses and Schrijber takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Schrijber tries for a takedown but Tatum circles away easily and Tatum connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Schrijber will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A nice side step and Tatum releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Tatum scores with a jab. Tatum thuds a left hand into Schrijber's body. Tatum has managed to clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schrijber is looking to take this one to the mat. Schrijber looking for a takedown. Tatum is trying to break free. Schrijber wants a takedown but no success here.

Schrijber is trying to pull guard but Tatum turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Tatum throws a head punch that misses. Schrijber is trying to drag Tatum to the mat but Tatum just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Schrijber is working for takedown but Tatum is calmly controlling the position for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tatum gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Schrijber.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tatum. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drederick Tatum showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Tatum missing with a left hand there. Schrijber was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jan Schrijber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tatum scores with a jab to the body. Schrijber takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Drederick Tatum seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tatum pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Tatum lands a jab to Schrijber's midsection. Tatum connects with a crisp jab. Schrijber looks up at the clock. Bad move! Tatum lands a right hand from hell, dropping Schrijber. Tatum pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drederick Tatum! Drederick Tatum decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
