Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bryan Furry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Gilmore!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furry looks for a takedown but Gilmore sprawls well.
Gilmore scores with a kick to the midsection.
Furry fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gilmore throws a body shot but no joy.

Furry throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gilmore tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Furry is in Gilmore's guard.
Gilmore is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Furry is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Furry is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gilmore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Furry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gilmore parries the strikes from Furry easily there. Furry is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gilmore to escape.
Furry just content to control the position.
Furry lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gilmore down.

Gilmore takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Furry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Furry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

You can see the frustration on Gilmore's face as Furry controls the position.
Furry misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Furry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've been informed that Gilmore has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Gilmore wants to get back to his feet but Furry is dominant here and he's now got Gilmore's back!
