Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, guilherme cardoso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Dante!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from cardoso lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - cardoso looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tony Dante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dante takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dante blocks the body kick.
A low kick from Dante is predictable there
and cardoso counters with a low kick, right behind Dante 's knee.
cardoso swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
cardoso fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dante sprawls well initially but cardoso persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
cardoso is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dante is trying to stand.
Dante makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dante.
cardoso looking to pass the guard.
Dante looking to hit a scissor sweep but cardoso is one step ahead there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
cardoso takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
cardoso is breathing heavily.
Dante lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as cardoso backs up against the cage.
It looks like guilherme cardoso has been cut.
cardoso scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Nice jab there from Dante.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
cardoso takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dante throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends cardoso stumbling backwards into the cage! cardoso bounces back off the cage towards Dante, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Dante lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Dante celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tony Dante!
