Reed's entrance music is Tupac ft 50 Cent - Get Up Remix. A fine choice. Tommy Reed could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marcel Petiot's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcel Petiot!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petiot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Reed quickly recovers to half guard.
Petiot not doing much here.
Reed makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Reed.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Petiot accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Petiot tries to free his leg and advance position but Reed is retaining full guard.

Petiot drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Reed dives on top into guard.

Reed might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reed passes Petiot's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Petiot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petiot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Reed seems to be working for a kimura but Petiot defends the submission attempt.
Reed slips a nice elbow through Petiot's hands, connecting with Petiot's forehead.
Petiot felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Reed seems to be looking for submissions.

Reed lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Petiot gets caught napping as Reed dives in and scores a takedown. Petiot manages to retain guard.

Reed is looking for a kimura but Petiot is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Reed to get the leverage.

Petiot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reed is working away from the top position though.

Tommy Reed overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Reed is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Petiot doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reed.

Petiot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reed circles away quickly and effectively.

A telegraphed right hand from Reed misses the target.
Petiot is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Reed wants to control from the top but Petiot keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reed is defended easily by Petiot.

Reed rolls with it to try and escape but Petiot cranks on the arm and Reed is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
