Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Notorious BIG! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Kilmster! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilmster misses with a jab, cross combination.
BIG throws a hook to the side of Kilmster's head but Kilmster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kilmster gets caught flat footed, as BIG shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kilmster avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. BIG drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kilmster manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now BIG has Kilmster in his guard. BIG working for submissions but it's allowed Kilmster to get to half guard.
BIG looking for submissions off his back. BIG looking for submissions from an awkward position here. BIG has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kilmster wants to lay and pray for a moment but BIG keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kilmster wants to free his trapped foot but BIG is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kilmster trying to control the action but BIG is working from the bottom. Kilmster throws a strike but BIG avoids it easily and moves to full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. BIG is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kilmster trying to control the position from guard on top but BIG is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kilmster must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kilmster tries to keep at a distance but BIG has taken the fight into the clinch. BIG fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. BIG wants to get back to striking at distance but Kilmster won't allow it.
Kilmster escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Kilmster knocks BIG out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
