Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Barry Allen (ranked 3416 p4p, 353 weight class) and Michael Jai White (ranked 2076 p4p, 248 weight class). Allen comes into the arena with The Flash Theme blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Jai White! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen throws a combination that misses and White counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Allen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Sloppy strikes from Allen. Those never looked like landing. Allen misses with a straight right. Allen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The crowd cheers as Allen lands an impressive looking overhand right. White doesn't seem phased though. Allen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Allen closes the distance and clinches. White blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
White tries to pull guard but Allen holds him up against the ropes and eventually White drops back down to his feet.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that White has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A head punch on the inside from White fails to land. White blocks an uppercut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Allen throws a head punch that misses. White throws a punch but it's blocked by Allen. White swings wildly with an uppercut but Allen uses good head movement to avoid it. A head punch blocked on the inside by White. White is trying to pull guard but Allen turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. White jumps guard but Allen stands there with White around his waist. White gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Barry Allen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Allen wants to clinch but White slips to the side The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. and White counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Allen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White throws a lazy right hand but Allen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Allen lands a leg kick that knocks White off balance momentarily. Allen lands a nice leg kick that just misses White's sensitive parts. A punch combination from Allen misses. Allen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around? Jab by White. Allen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Allen gets caught napping as White dives in and scores a takedown. Allen manages to retain guard. White is looking to stand up but Allen won't let him. White trying to control the position from guard on top but Allen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. White postures up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Allen is trying to keep White in close.
Allen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard.
Allen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but White manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Allen has White in his guard. White tries to stand but Allen is controlling from the bottom. Allen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White stands up and waves to Allen to follow him. White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Allen moves away. Allen feinted there with a counter leg kick. White shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Allen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. White stopping the sweep attempt from Allen. Allen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Allen wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position. Allen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! White is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! White has escaped and now he's on top!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! White trying to control but Allen is working from the bottom. White stopping the sweep attempt from Allen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White gets to his feet - Allen follows without any prompting. Allen tries to move into range but White moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. White thuds a left hand into Allen's body. Allen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Allen doesn't manage to clinch there - White circles away.
White has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. White checks a leg kick. Allen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and White counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. White connects with a body shot. Allen walks into a straight right hand from White. Allen throws a right hand that White ducks under and follows up with a left that White also avoids with ease. Allen tries to clinch but White moves out of range. Allen tries to clinch up letting White counter with a right hand. Barry Allen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Allen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. White sees it coming and avoids it easily. White keeps the fight on the outside. White let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Allen lands with a nice combination. White backs away looking to recover. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Allen misses with a body kick. Allen is looking to clinch but White is avoiding it.
Allen tries to bum rush White with a series of wild strikes but White uses good footwork to avoid the assault. White shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. White wanted to stand there but Allen had control of the position. Allen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but White puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. White wants to stand but Allen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Michael Jai White has got the better of the ground game so far. White has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Allen defend it? White steps over the head and cranks it - Allen is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for White!
