Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maui Wowie (ranked 1387 p4p, 185 weight class) and Darrel Petersen (ranked 1369 p4p, 182 weight class). Wowie comes to the cage accompanied by Dont bogart that joint. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petersen shoots in for a takedown but Wowie shows good takedown defense.
Petersen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wowie wriggles free and stands up.
Wowie lands a big head kick that sends Petersen tumbling to the mat! Wowie takes a step backwards and waves Petersen back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Petersen is rocked!
It looks like Darrel Petersen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wowie lands a nice leg kick that just misses Petersen's sensitive parts.
Petersen works Wowie's body with a nice hook.
Wowie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Petersen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wowie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Whack! Wowie lands a heavy head kick that drops Petersen. The ref tackles Wowie to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Petersen was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Maui Wowie!
A relieved looking Maui Wowie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
