Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 4521 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wallace West (ranked 2997 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wallace West! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage. Jones has picked West up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. West trying to control but Jones postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones controlling the action here. West is trying to get back to full guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down West for as long as he can get away with. West is trying to control but can't.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. West clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones can't get the takedown.
West tightens his grip and picks Jones up, before dumping him to the ground. Jones manages to land in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather. West is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. West preventing the sweep. Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but West is one step ahead there. Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. West stopping the sweep attempt from Jones. Jones is working hard here to advance position. Jones pulls West in close to prevent any damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. West tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. Jones is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

West feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, West changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wallace West dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
West fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage. Jones has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but West regains guard immediately. Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position. West is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones passes into half guard. West has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.

West is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can West avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. West wants to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control. Jon Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

West is now in Jones's guard. West is breathing heavily. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. West trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is controlling West's posture. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. West throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Wallace West is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones wants to sweep here but West controlling him for the moment. West being controlled here momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. West trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. West wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

A close second round but Wallace West will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
A combination from West does no damage. Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but West manages to circle out of the way. West will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones is not content to let West control the position. West takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jones managing to control the position. This is a sustained period of stalling by Jones. Hammerfist, elbow! yells West's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Jones sitting in guard here, content to control. Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
