PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eel King (ranked 4034 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slugger Dozer (ranked 2961 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Slugger Dozer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
King shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dozer defends it nicely.
Eel King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dozer gets caught napping as King dives in and scores a takedown. Dozer manages to retain guard.
Dozer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

King drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and King jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dozer wants to stand but King is controlling the position.
King has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

King might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dozer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time King.
