The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Romero tries to clinch
and Tiotio counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Jose Romero has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tiotio throws a series of punches but Romero moves out of range.
Romero drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tiotio defends it well.

and Tiotio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looked like Tiotio wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Tiotio cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A shot to the body from Romero misses
and Tiotio scores with a counter punch that sends Romero to the canvas! Tiotio smells blood - he's punishing Romero with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Romero has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ara Tiotio!
Ara Tiotio gave a mention to Urban Fighter in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
