Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Benedetti (ranked 250 p4p, 39 weight class) and Tyron Woody (ranked 640 p4p, 97 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Benedetti might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bajafondo. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benedetti uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Woody.
Woody swings widly with a right hand
and Benedetti counters with a one-two to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Woody looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Woody digs a good hook to Benedetti's body.
Woody misses with a two punch combination.
A combination from Woody does no damage.
Woody fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Benedetti manages to avoid it.
Woody misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Woody cracks Benedetti with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Tyron Woody seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Woody darts in trying to clinch
and Benedetti makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Benedetti drops his hands momentarily and Woody takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Benedetti avoids the body shot from Woody.
Benedetti takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Woody misses with a looping left.
An attempted straight right counter from Benedetti misses the target.
Woody throws a poor cross that misses
and Benedetti counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Tyron Woody has been cut.
Woody tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Benedetti paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fighters circling - Woody throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've been told by Benedetti's head coaches at Q Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Woody misses with a right hand

and Benedetti counters with a crisp right hand that drops Woody! Benedetti lets Woody back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A looping hook to the body misses from Woody. Benedetti does a little dance to reset his feet.
Woody misses with a wild body shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Woody.
Benedetti keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Benedetti uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Woody.

Benedetti sends Woody crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Benedetti is motioning to the referee to let Woody up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Woody is rocked!

Woody moves away from the strike by Benedetti.
Woody rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Benedetti counters with a crisp right that sends Woody to the canvas! Benedetti follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
