Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Andreev (ranked 99 p4p, 14 weight class) and Humbert Humbert (ranked 309 p4p, 46 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Humbert throws a jab when Andreev was well out of range.

Andreev dives in for a single leg takedown but Humbert sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Andreev swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Humbert is now in Andreev's guard. A big mistake from Andreev there, giving up the dominant position!

Andreev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Humbert seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Andreev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A lazy left from Humbert finds it's target.
Humbert throws a shot from downtown. Andreev moves away and avoids it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Humbert. Andreev does a little dance to reset his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Humbert might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Humbert cracks Andreev with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Humbert has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Andreev to stand back up!

Andreev leaves his chin hanging out and Humbert seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Andreev crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

After the fight, Humbert Humbert was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
