Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bai Sistjierten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bowie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowie has chosen The Undertaker Theme Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bai Sistjierten! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Bowie! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sistjierten is trying to get back to his feet. The referee asks Bowie politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bowie prefers to stall for the moment though. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bowie wants to control but Sistjierten is keeping him busy. Bowie controls the position. Sistjierten is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bowie asserts his dominance and retains side control. Sistjierten tries to buck Bowie off but Bowie is having none of it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sistjierten misses with a two punch combination.
Bowie feints and as Sistjierten raises his hands in defense, Bowie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bowie prevents Sistjierten from getting back to his feet. Bowie wants to control from the top but Sistjierten keeps moving. Sistjierten is looking to stand up but Bowie isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bowie trying to control but Sistjierten is working from the bottom. Bowie stands and throws Sistjierten's legs to the side, diving into side control. Bowie controlling the position. Bowie trying to control the position but Sistjierten is working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Bowie trying to control the action but Sistjierten is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sistjierten manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Sistjierten will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sistjierten is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bowie is controlling Sistjierten's position as best he can from this difficult position. Bowie wants to improve his position but Sistjierten is controlling well.
Bowie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bowie looks gassed! Sistjierten wants to work for an arm triangle but Bowie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sistjierten wants to stand but Bowie has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sistjierten is thwarting Bowie's attempts to control the position. It looks like Sistjierten is going to stand back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sistjierten looks to throw the jab but Bowie is out of range. Sistjierten with a poor takedown and Bowie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bowie wants to control from the top but Sistjierten keeps moving. Sistjierten is trying to control the position but Bowie postures up. Bowie must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sistjierten has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bowie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bowie passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowie decides to stand back up. Bowie steps back and let's Sistjierten get back to his feet. Sistjierten closes the distance but Bowie moves to the side and Bowie counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sistjierten is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bowie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bowie misses with a head kick.
Sistjierten wants to clinch and Bowie counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sistjierten thinking. Sistjierten drops Bowie with a left right combo! Sistjierten follows him down to the ground into side control.
Bowie is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sistjierten decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bowie to his feet. Bowie is still on wobbly legs! Can Sistjierten finish him? Sistjierten feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Bowie crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bai Sistjierten! Bai Sistjierten is the new welterweight champion!
