14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaz McStafferson! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puskas clinches up with McStafferson and pushes him back against the cage. McStafferson looking to slow down the pace here. Puskas breaks the clinch.
McStafferson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Puskas on his heels. He'll look to pass Puskas's guard now, I'm sure. Puskas has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. McStafferson looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McStafferson advances to half guard. McStafferson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! That's one minute gone in the round. McStafferson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Puskas is trying to reverse the position but instead McStafferson has taken his back - oops! McStafferson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
McStafferson gets his hands free as Puskas looks to control. McStafferson looking to break Puskas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Puskas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise McStafferson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McStafferson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Puskas is in bad spot here.
Puskas is trying to get back to his feet but McStafferson has full control of the position and if anything, Puskas has just worked his way into a worse spot. Puskas tries to escape the position.
McStafferson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Puskas defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. McStafferson has managed to slip his arm under Puskas's chin. This could be all over... yep, Puskas is tapping out! Submission win for McStafferson.
