Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Big D!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Marden!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Marden lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Marden slips under a jab from D.
Marden closes this distance looking for a takedown but D circles away.
Marden clinches with his opponent.
D tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marden just stands there and leans against the cage.
Marden's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
D gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Marden looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
D is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
D is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Marden tries to kick D off but D keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
D seems to be looking for submissions.
D passes to full mount!
Marden is trying desperately to improve position.
D looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
D jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Marden manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ground and pound from D seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Marden regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. D connects with a nice short shot to Marden's temple.
D is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marden is just riding it out for now. D eventually gives up the hold.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
D is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Marden has managed to free his arm - good work.
D is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Marden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with D. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marden wants to get back to full guard.

D passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Marden!
Marden working to try and regain half guard.
D is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Marden is forced to tap! Great finish!
