Carnera is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bad Religion - Infected. Mauro Carnera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mauro Carnera!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carnera steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kuznetsov.
Carnera throws a hook but Kuznetsov blocks it.
Carnera takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kuznetsov throws a nice inside leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kuznetsov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Carnera has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Carnera and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Carnera takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Mauro Carnera has been cut.
Carnera tests Kuznetsov's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Carnera lands a nice shot to the body.
Carnera fakes the leg kick and cracks Kuznetsov in the body.
Kuznetsov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carnera.
Kuznetsov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Carnera shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kuznetsov eats them both and turns towards Carnera to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuznetsov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kuznetsov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Carnera connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kuznetsov scrambles back to his feet.

Kuznetsov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carnera moves away.
Carnera takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kuznetsov avoids the body shot from Carnera.
Carnera throws a big shot that misses.

Carnera scores with a shot to the body.
Kuznetsov throws a series of punches but Carnera moves out of range.
It seemed like Carnera was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kuznetsov misses the shot to the body.
Carnera throws a body punch but Kuznetsov moves out of range.
Kuznetsov slips under a jab from Carnera.
Carnera thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kuznetsov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Carnera misses with a series of wild punches.
Kuznetsov jabs Carnera right on the nose. Carnera blinks but takes it well.
Kuznetsov lands with an uppercut that bounces Carnera off the cage and back into range.
Kuznetsov throws a head kick that half lands.
Carnera is rocked!

Carnera moves out of range of the strikes.

A slow jab from Kuznetsov misses its intended target.
Kuznetsov works the jab nicely.
Kuznetsov lands a brutal head kick. Carnera looks out on his feet and Kuznetsov throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Nikolai Kuznetsov!
After the fight, Nikolai Kuznetsov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
