The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fartanov shoots in for a takedown but Rojas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rojas really is a fat lump.
A head kick by Fartanov misses
and Rojas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fartanov won't be happy with that.
Rojas working the head and body with strikes.
Rojas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fartanov wants to get back to his feet but Rojas drags him back down.
Fartanov is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fartanov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Fartanov works his way to full guard. Good work.

Rojas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rojas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fartanov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fartanov is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Rojas rolls with it to try and escape but Fartanov cranks on the arm and Rojas is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
