Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terence West (ranked 6052 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Sanches (ranked 4658 p4p, 475 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Terence West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Sanches!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West dodges the punch combination from Sanches.
As Sanches tries to get set, West tries to push him back and clinch up but Sanches manages to avoid the attempt.

Sanches drives through and clinches with West against the cage.

Sanches manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
West stopping the sweep attempt from Sanches.

West postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanches is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of West, into his guard.

West is pulling down on Sanches's head. It's preventing any offense from Sanches, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanches is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sanches is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanches not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sanches is stalling in the full guard.
West tries to land a sweep but no joy.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanches is on top in guard.

West pushes Sanches off and gets back to his feet.
West changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanches tries to avoid it but West manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanches to the ground. Sanches escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sanches shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. West manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
West wants to stand up but Sanches is controlling him.
Sanches trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanches accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sanches postures up in West's guard and throws a big left but West blocks it.
West keeping moving, preventing Sanches from controlling successfully.
West pulls Sanches in close to prevent any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sanches drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and West dives on top into guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sanches's hands are dropping dangerously low here and West connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sanches scrambles back to his feet.

Sanches fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with West, pushing him back against the cage.

Sanches ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sanches no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sanches wants to control the position but West says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Sanches is controlling West's trapped leg to prevent West from advancing to side control.

West is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanches is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

West seems to be looking for submissions.
Sanches keeping hold of West's head, controlling as best he can.
Sanches is trying to control but can't.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sanches has one foot on West's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Sanches lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as West backs up against the cage.
West scores with a three punch combo!

Sanches has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sanches gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Sanches lands a jab-cross combination.
West misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sanches.

Sanches takes the fight into the clinch.

West lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Sanches is breathing heavily.

West is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sanches defends it well.
West stops Sanches from getting back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

West escapes and gets back to his feet.
West avoids the head kick by Sanches.

Sanches is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in West's half guard.

Andy Sanches showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The fighters are working up against the cage. West manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Sanches bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in West's guard.

Sanches takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sanches pushes down on West's leg and manages to get into half guard.
West is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanches is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

West keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Sanches tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

West kicks off Sanches and gets to his feet.

Sanches shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. West is trying to defend but Sanches finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
West wants to control but Sanches is keeping busy.

West manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Sanches throws a sloppy head kick and West moves out of range easily.

Sanches closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A short body shot lands from West as the two fighters clinch.
West jumps guard but Sanches turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terence West. That's going to take a lot out of him.
West is working for takedown but Sanches is calmly controlling the position for now.

Sanches wants the takedown. West is fighting it off but Sanches persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in West's guard against the cage.
West wants to sweep here but Sanches controlling him for the moment.

Terence West has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Andy Sanches is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terence West.
I think Sanches has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
