0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeet Kune Do! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kune Do thows a body shot but no joy. Papelao slips a jab and a cross from Kune Do.
Papelao has taken the fight to the clinch.
Papelao wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kune Do has him pressed against the cage. Papelao has had enough of the clinch but Kune Do keeps him there for the moment. Papelao scores with a knee to the head.

Kune Do throws a lazy head kick and Papelao holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A battle for position here, against the cage. Kune Do has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Papelao is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Papelao breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rosca Papelao will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kune Do gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Papelao tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Papelao is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Kune Do looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Papelao is fending him off so far but Kune Do persists. Nope, Papelao circles away and we're back to standing. Papelao gets in close and instigates a clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kune Do has Papelao pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Papelao manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Papelao stalling the fight.

Kune Do jumps guard and drags Papelao to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kune Do wants to stand but Papelao is controlling the position. Kune Do is trying to control the position but Papelao postures up. Kune Do wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Papelao stands up from guard. Let's bang! Kune Do fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Papelao connects with a high kick. Papelao pushes Kune Do up against the cage in a clinch. Kune Do drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Papelao gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Papelao, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
