The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bird drives through with a takedown into Orliely's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Bird is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Orliely is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Orliely really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bird. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Orliely controls Bird momentarily but Bird frees himself.

Bird drops back looking for a leg! Orliely is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Orliely manages to kick Bird off! Bird jumps back into Orliely's guard.

Bird drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bird jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bird thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bird wants to pass the guard but Orliely is keeping the position.
Orliely pulls Bird in close to prevent any damage.

Bird drops back looking for a leg! Orliely is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Orliely manages to kick Bird off! Bird jumps back into Orliely's guard.

Bird drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Bird seems to have locked his on tight now - Orliely screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bird, as he picks up the win!
