Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Del Werthers (ranked 1942 p4p, 214 weight class) and Snappy Whiplash (ranked 1297 p4p, 145 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whiplash connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Werthers momentarily.
Whiplash moves into range and connects with a jab.
Whiplash lands a nice leg kick that just misses Werthers's sensitive parts.
Whiplash feints and then cracks Werthers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Werthers down.
Whiplash throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Werthers throws out a loose jab but Whiplash uses good head movement to avoid it.
Werthers with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Whiplash to score with a decent uppercut.
Werthers ducks right into an uppercut from Whiplash.
Whiplash scores with a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Whiplash cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
and Whiplash counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Werthers! He's just covering up as Whiplash starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
