Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Fafa (ranked 5373 p4p, 483 weight class) and Tomas Peres (ranked 6019 p4p, 518 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peres steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fafa.
Fafa misses the shot to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Peres! But no joy.

Peres throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Fafa counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Peres has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Peres there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Fafa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Fafa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Fafa tries to clinch but Peres moves out of range.
Fafa lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Peres backs up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Peres counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fafa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fafa misses with an uppercut. Peres saw that one coming.
Peres misses with a wild body shot.
Fafa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peres moves away.
Peres is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fafa.

Fafa has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Peres's face.

Peres tries to get to full guard but Fafa has control of the leg.

Peres is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fafa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
