Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Palmer Walker (ranked 4639 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Rodrigo (ranked 4501 p4p, 466 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Palmer Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juan Rodrigo! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodrigo throws a nice looking combination but Walker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Rodrigo will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Rodrigo looking for a sweep. Not yet Rodrigo, not yet. Walker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Walker distracts Rodrigo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Walker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rodrigo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Walker. Walker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodrigo is trying to keep Walker in close.
Rodrigo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker throwing strikes from guard but Rodrigo blocks nicely. Walker scoring with punches to the head and body. Rodrigo wants to sweep here but Walker controlling him for the moment. Walker working some strikes from top position. Walker works a leg free and moves into half guard. Rodrigo wants to improve his position but Walker is controlling well.
Rodrigo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Walker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rodrigo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rodrigo tries to get to full guard but Walker has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Walker wants to work for an arm triangle but Rodrigo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Walker is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Walker stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Walker scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rodrigo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Walker yanks on the arm and Rodrigo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Walker.
