These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses the shot to the body.
Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Collins.
Williams throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Collins counters with a shoot takedown. Williams fights it but they end up in guard.
Williams kicks Collins off and gets to his feet.
Williams thuds a left hand into Collins's body.
Collins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams lands with a nice body punch.
Williams pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Collins back to the cage. Williams follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Collins shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Collins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Collins on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Williams connects with a body shot that sends Collins's belly button to the back.
Collins tries to move into range but Williams moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Collins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Collins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Williams changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Collins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Collins is breathing heavily.
Williams cracks Collins with a hook to the temple - Collins is on wobbly legs here! Williams swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Collins falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Williams wins by TKO!

After winning the bout, Michael Carter Williams thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
