Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arep Botak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chuck Rage has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chuck Rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arep Botak!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Rage.

Rage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Botak sprawls well initially but Rage persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rage tries to stand and escape but Botak is controlling the position.
Rage is thwarting Botak's attempts to control the position.
Botak is trying to get back to full guard.
Rage is looking to take a break and control but Botak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rage stands up and beckons Botak to join him on the feet.
Botak looks to land a right hand but Rage moved out of range.

Rage forces Botak back against the cage and clinches.
Botak tries for a takedown. No joy.

Rage decides to pull guard.
Rage looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Botak throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Botak stays in close to Rage's body and controls the position.
Rage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Botak manages to get himself to full guard.

Botak is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rage wanted to stand there but Botak had control of the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rage has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Botak is proving hard to escape from.
Rage looking to sit in guard and control but Botak gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Botak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Botak must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Botak decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rage, up you get!
Botak pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rage will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rage lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Botak fails with the takedown.
Botak looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rage shoots in but no luck this time.

Chuck Rage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arep Botak.
Botak takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rage fails to land the takedown.
Rage lands with a nice combination. Botak backs away looking to recover.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rage!
Botak shoots in looking for a takedown. Rage tries to sprawl out of it but Botak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Botak swivels and escapes.
A nice combination there by Rage.
Rage does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rage throws a combination. Botak tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Rage lands a jab-cross combination.
Botak has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Botak blocks a head kick by Rage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rage throws a sloppy head kick and Botak moves out of range easily.
Rage's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Rage duly obliges.
Rage misses with a body kick.

Rage moves into range and clinches up with Botak.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rage has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Botak avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Botak tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rage smiles and moves away.
Rage changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Botak tries to avoid it but Rage manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Botak to the ground. Botak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Rage dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Rage tries to clinch but Botak moves out of range.
Botak moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Chuck Rage has been cut.
Rage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Botak throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rage counters with a three punch combo that has Botak backing up. Botak nods at Rage to acknowledge the strikes.
Botak fails with the takedown
and Rage connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rage displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Rage lands a two punch combo.
Rage moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Chuck Rage is winning the standup battle so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rage stalks Botak and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Botak's face. Botak staggers backwards, shaken.


Botak is rocked!
Rage rushes Botak with punches - Botak moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Botak goes down! Rage follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chuck Rage!
