Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leon Brewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Brewski or perhaps it was just good defense by Sullivan which made him look bad.
Brewski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sullivan tries to avoid it but Brewski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sullivan to the ground. Sullivan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brewski closes the distance and clinches up with Sullivan, looking for a takedown. Brewski pushes Sullivan against the cage but Sullivan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leon Brewski. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sullivan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sullivan wants to stand but Brewski has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sullivan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sullivan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brewski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brewski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sullivan is working away from the top position though.
