Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn feints and as Rabbit raises his hands in defense, Penn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Penn wanted to stand there but Rabbit had control of the position.

Penn drops back looking for a leg! Rabbit is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rabbit manages to kick Penn off! Penn jumps back into Rabbit's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rabbit tries to kick Penn off but Penn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Penn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rabbit sees it coming and defends easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rabbit clinches up with Penn and pushes him back against the cage.

Rabbit tries to close the distance and clinch but Penn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Penn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rabbit looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rabbit looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rabbit!
Penn is looking to regain half guard here but Rabbit keeps moving and retains side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
