Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Gyos (ranked 6475 p4p, 560 weight class) and Primo Volto (ranked 5754 p4p, 527 weight class). Gyos comes to the cage accompanied by It's Raining Men. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dimitri Gyos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Primo Volto! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gyos closes the distance and lands a one-two. Gyos throws a quick inside leg kick. Volto misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gyos is looking for a counter combo. A punch combination from Gyos misses. We've been told by Gyos's head coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Gyos's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gyos duly obliges. Gyos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Volto drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gyos defends it well. Volto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gyos. Volto is looking for the big counter here. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Volto has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Volto takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Gyos goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A left and a right from Gyos both land. Nice combination. Volto tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Gyos looks to land a combination but Volto avoids it well. Gyos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Volto tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Volto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gyos keeps working. Volto throwing shots but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Volto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gyos has escaped the position, nice work there. Volto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gyos is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Wait, no, Gyos rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Volto's guard! Nice work there by Gyos! Gyos is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Volto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gyos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Volto is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gyos rolls with it to try and escape but Volto cranks on the arm and Gyos is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
