Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nig Nig (ranked 1355 p4p, 193 weight class) and Matola Machava (ranked 1544 p4p, 211 weight class). Machava comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mozambique National Anthem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Nig Nig has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machava shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nig lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Machava has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Machava and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
We've been told by Nig's head coaches at Runts Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nig was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Machava might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Nig has got the better of the exchanges.

Nig does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Nig has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nig Nig.
Well Nig has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Nig Nig was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
