Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Al Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonidas Ferraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonidas Ferraz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reid throws a combination. Ferraz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Leonidas Ferraz has been cut.
Ferraz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ferraz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Reid counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Reid works Ferraz's body with a nice hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ferraz lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ferraz throws a head kick that misses.
Ferraz throws a sloppy head kick and Reid moves out of range easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Reid.
Reid lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reid.
Reid fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Reid counters with a shoot takedown. Ferraz fights it but they end up in guard.

Reid pushes down on Ferraz's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Reid seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Reid is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ferraz sees it coming and defends easily.
Reid is taking a breather. Ferraz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ferraz is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Ferraz pushes Reid off looking to stand but Reid dives back in and keeps control.

Reid is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Reid is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ferraz defends it well.

Reid stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Reid misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Leonidas Ferraz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Reid counters with a three punch combo that has Ferraz backing up. Ferraz nods at Reid to acknowledge the strikes.


That has opened up Leonidas Ferraz's cut even more.
Ferraz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reid circles away quickly and effectively.
Ferraz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ferraz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nice takedown defense from Ferraz. No joy for Reid on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Reid. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reid feints and as Ferraz raises his hands in defense, Reid changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Reid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Reid has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ferraz is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Reid fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ferraz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Reid uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ferraz.

Reid shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reid showed some decent athleticism there.

Ferraz is defending against the submission attempts here by Reid.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reid seems to be working for a kimura but Ferraz defends the submission attempt.

Reid bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Reid swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ferraz is now in Reid's guard. A big mistake from Reid there, giving up the dominant position!

Reid has his foot on Ferraz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferraz works his way back into a safe position though.
Al Reid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
