Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carl Brooks (ranked 2302 p4p, 240 weight class) and Idris Onolunose (ranked 3189 p4p, 286 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Phenomenal. Idris Onolunose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carl Brooks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Idris Onolunose! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Onolunose takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Brooks delivers a nice body kick. Onolunose closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Brooks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brooks tries to get out of the position. Onolunose in side control, throwing shots but Brooks defends. Brooks defending against the ground and pound. Brooks is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Onolunose's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Onolunose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brooks holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Brooks is trying to stand up here but Onolunose is controlling him well. Brooks regains full guard. Nicely done. Brooks seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Brooks is looking to stand up but Onolunose isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Onolunose working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Brooks is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Onolunose throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brooks works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Onolunose must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Onolunose is looking to work some ground and pound but Brooks has wrist control. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brooks is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Onolunose has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brooks has managed to get both his arms back between Onolunose's legs - danger averted. Brooks controlling from the top position. Brooks stands up over Onolunose, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Brooks with a nice head shot there. Brooks works a leg free and moves into half guard. Onolunose is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brooks scores with a couple of nice shots. Onolunose has hold of Brooks's hands but Brooks slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Brooks works his way into full mount! Brooks looking to control and managing it successfully. BOOM! Brooks connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Onolunose keeps trying to improve his position. Brooks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Brooks looking to control and managing it successfully. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brooks lands a big elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brooks content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Brooks has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Brooks lands strikes from half guard. Onolunose is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brooks pulls his head out easily. Brooks has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Brooks cracks Onolunose with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The referee warns Onolunose that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brooks lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Onolunose is rocked! Brooks looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Brooks dominated that round. That's time! Brooks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Onolunose takes a shot right to the bread basket. Onolunose is still on wobbly legs! Can Brooks finish him? Onolunose misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Brooks scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Brooks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Brooks landing a few strikes. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Onolunose seems to have recovered his senses. Onolunose is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brooks taking a breather here. Brooks is chipping away with strikes.
Onolunose takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. This is a sustained period of stalling by Brooks. Brooks continues to hold on tight. Onolunose looks to move to half guard but instead Brooks has passed into mount! Damn! Brooks looking to control and managing it successfully. Onolunose takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Onolunose in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Brooks unloading with bombs! Brooks connects with a bit shot that sees Onolunose covering up! More strikes from Brooks and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Brooks is our winner by TKO!
