The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws out a loose jab but Taylor uses good head movement to avoid it.
Smith looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Taylor closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smith's guard.
Taylor trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.
Taylor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Taylor wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Taylor is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Taylor content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Smith has locked up a guillotine! Smith's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Taylor is holding on here and Smith must be using up a lot of energy. Taylor has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Smith gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
