Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Somsak Ngo (ranked 2294 p4p, 285 weight class) and Long Wang (ranked 3684 p4p, 411 weight class). Somsak Ngo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ngo lands a really nice looking cross but Wang seems unphased.
Wang shoots in and drives through. Ngo sprawls well.

Wang takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ngo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wang shoots in for a takedown but Ngo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Wang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ngo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ngo is looking to improve his position but Wang isn't that keen on the idea.

Wang has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ngo's face.

Wang postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ngo looks a forlorn figure.

Wang lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wang blocks a jab.
Wang shoots in looking for a takedown but Ngo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ngo is fending him off so far but Wang persists. Nope, Ngo circles away and we're back to standing.

and Ngo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ngo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wang tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ngo defends well and Wang ends up having to push Ngo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Wang counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Wang drops back looking for a leg! Ngo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ngo manages to kick Wang off! Wang jumps back into Ngo's guard.

Wang wants to control from the top but Ngo keeps moving.

Ngo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Wang is on him like a limpet, forcing Ngo back against the cage.

Wang is pushing down on Ngo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ngo is fighting to maintain full guard but Wang has managed to sneak the leg through.

Wang uses his free foot to push down on Ngo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ngo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wang cracks Ngo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Ngo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ngo tries to improve his position but Wang has taken his back! Wang has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Ngo tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Wang pushes Ngo away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Long Wang!
